I knew something wasn’t quite right when I got the camera ready for our memorial hike on July 5, but I thought that perhaps the battery was either not fully charged or was failing. I’d have to pull it out and reinsert it for the camera to power up. During the hike the camera seemed to do okay, as you’ll see from the photos I’ll post shortly. Then we all went to Glacier Point after the hike–and all hell broke lose, as evidenced by the photo above.

What psychedelic substance is this camera on, anyway? That’s just bizarre.

The camera is going to the doctor as soon as I can get him there, which probably won’t be for another week or so. In the meantime, you all are saved from further snapshots for the time being.

Oh, wait. I forgot about the 6,360 photos I have saved to Flickr. You may be doomed after all.
