Genius
First, the guy at Boots Camera implies that I’m an idiot when I take my camera in for him to check out. He didn’t USE the word “idiot,” but the look on his face told the story. AND he took a picture of my double chin. I will never, ever go back there.
Next, I think I “fixed” my business computer, which is the one I usually use to watch movies because I can adjust the sound loud enough to actually hear comfortably. So now it has no sound at all, and the control panel says I have “no audio device.” When I come home tonight, I am going to have to see if downloading drivers from Dell will restore the audio.
And then, if that were not enough, this morning I decided to look inside my big jewelry box, I can’t even remember for what, which involved taking it down off the closet shelf. In doing so, one of its drawers fell out, and the corner of the drawer hit me in the forehead. Duh.
Pure genius.
If it makes you feel any better, Euorpeans call summer the “Silly Season” becaue the heat makes us all a little nuts. Even Moscovites are swimming in their fountains right now, so don’t feel so bad about tinkering with electronic devices that can’t possibly understand us. I was lucky when I bought my new camera-the cute guy let me take HIS photo. I didn’t delete it for months.
I had the very best luck at Horn Photo. It would never cross my mind to think of anywhere else. I took them a photo (the last photo) taken of Larry, Katie, and myself in Cambria not quite a month before he died. The young man who used my camera set it on email and left me unable to enlarge the photo. Horn not only worked it to give me a decent 5 x 7, they gave me an extra copy, a couple of wallet sizes, and then refused to charge me. Okay, this was 6 years ago and I’m sure personnel have changed but whatever my need, I try Horn first and so far haven’t had to look for a second. Just sayin’
There’s a 5:00 AM? I knew about the one in the evening, thought Easter Sunday was the only time the clock recognized 5:am.
I’m supposed to take Connie’s husband to lunch tomorrow (I already cancelled yesterday). And Katie has a Spa appt. at 1:pm. How are we for next Wednesday? (I can have my eyes open by 6am, not willingly, but I can do it). And for a road trip with you and the girls, I would – almost gladly. I’ll get out the cooler and charge the camera.
Cancel remarks re: tomorrow. Next week would be great. Rest of comment stands as written.
